Sunday "Shop" Ride - Sundays Ongoing
Our shop has been going through some upgrades! This means we have a little less time for simple pleasures like shop rides. Do not fret! We plan to be back with plenty of rides in early 2024. If you're interested in being a part of this, fill out the form at the bottom of the page! The below information is information you might want to know about any rides we will do in the future. This is intended to be a no-drop ride, meaning we will stop at turns and points where the trail splits. Total time with stops will be about 3 hours, pedaling time between 2:15 and 2:45 depending on your traveling speed. When we have a sufficient number of riders and ride leaders we may simply split into two groups. If you aren't OK with waiting for others and having a great time, this isn't the ride for you. All riders are welcome, we do ask that you are self-sufficient: you need to have water, food, a helmet, gloves, a spare tube and a method to inflate it. It is recommended you have your phone, some money, a multi-tool, quick-link, and anything specific you need for your bicycle or health! While this ride is posted here as a "shop" ride, this ride is at your own risk, and by showing up you acknowledge that cycling can be dangerous and are assuming all risks. |
What a ride might look like:
Join us for a fun tour of everything San Marcos has to offer! We will start at 8am sharp from Travis Elementary School (https://goo.gl/maps/fziq3RbqjbzcdbbQA) and ride much of the Spring Lake Natural area before heading to the pavement and pedaling our way to Purgatory. You can expect this ride to be 20 to 25 miles with a moving time of about 2 to 2.5 hours. This ride has ups and downs, rocks, trees, roots, and more! All riders are welcome, we do ask that you are self-sufficient: you need to have water, food, a helmet, gloves, a spare tube, and a method to inflate it. It is recommended you have your phone, some money, a multi-tool, quick-link, and anything specific you need for your bicycle or health! Occasionally Kyle Cyclery will host a shop ride. Rides will begin and end at Kyle Cyclery. Information about the ride will be published here or emailed to those who have signed up to receive ride notifications.
