We teach bicycle repair, from the basics to the most advanced, you can learn it here at Kyle Cyclery from lifetime Professional Bicycle Mechanics.
Learning how to fix your own bicycle isn't and shouldn't be hard. At Kyle Cyclery we aim to be your complete cycling resource. Be it teaching you how to perform a tune-up on your own bike or making our vast parts catalog available to you, so you can upgrade, replace and repair parts at your leisure... of course, we are always happy to perform the work on your behalf!
OPTION 1 - Private Lessons
Every bicycle, person and situation are unique. Rather than telling you that you must learn to do all these things in a fixed period of time we will work at your pace and comfort level to ensure you have a complete grasp of the information and technique needed to care for your bicycle for its lifetime.
How does it work?
Private bicycle repair lessons have an initial fee of $200, this fee covers your initial 30-minute evaluation plus 1-1/2 hours of private lessons. Additional time is booked at a rate of $100 per hour up to 5 hours and then $75 per hour for any additional time beyond that. Parts are ordered for your specific repair during the initial consultation period at 10% off of retail pricing.

OPTION 2 - Bicycle Repair Classes
For all the classes below we have a 4-person limit and you are strongly encouraged to bring your own bicycle. Class duration is approximate as we work with each person in class as a group and stop to help individuals with specific challenging tasks. You will receive a 10% discount on any products purchased at the conclusion of class.
Tire and Flat Repair is a 1-hour class and the cost includes a basic repair kit (tire levers, tube and patch kit), We will cover removal of the wheel from the bike, how to change a tire and or tube as well as reinstalling those pesky rear wheels! Cost of the course is $50
Derailleur adjustments is a 1-hour class and will cover the proper setup and adjustment of your bicycle shifting system. The cost of this course is $40
Brake adjustments is a 1-hour class and will cover the adjustment and setup of your mechanical braking system (rim or disc). The cost of the course is $40
Bike Basics 101 is a 4-hour class and covers all the basics of bicycle adjustments and care. This course includes a chain lube and cleaner to take home for continued maintenance on your bicycle. The cost of this course is $150

Want to be certified? We can do that too! We are an authorized Professional Bicycle Mechanics Association certification center. This is an online and in-person program. You must first pass and complete an online test, once finalized you may contact us to schedule a time to take the in-person exam. This exam will take approximately two hours and is performed here in Kyle before or after regular business hours. For more information click here.
